Introducing MIC FLO

MIC FLO is a HighGuyz Productions street soldier known for his crazy lyrical stories that chronicle his adventures thru South Florida. You've probably seen him around terrorizing a club dressed in MillionsWear Clothing. Or perhaps you've seen him on a bootleg DVD in a music video. One thing we know is true, if you haven't seen him then prepare because he's coming to a town near you soon.

MIC FLO released his first mixtape with High Guyz Productions, Tourette Syndrome[Download Link], featuring bangers like "Brown" "You Sleep" "Fuck Wit Me" and plenty more. The mixtape has songs to fit all types of vibes whether you want to smoke to it or want to dance to it at a club. Recently we sat down with MIC FLO to discuss his future projects.

HighGuyz Productions: Hey man how's it going? I know you go by a lot of different names so why don’t you introduce yourself.

MIC FLO: Yeah it's MIC FLO A.K.A. Mic Fleezy, Fleez, Burgers, and a bunch of other meaningless nicknames but those should be sufficient. I rep High Guyz Productions, 12th Ave Taliban, Millions clothing, & WoodStock ENT.

HGP: I see you’ve been doing a lot of music videos, "Venting", "Whats The Diffrence?", and your newest video "A Love Song". Is that for any particular project or is it for something else?

MF: Shit to be honest, me and my manager SKINNY P. film most of the shit we do and when ever I’m bored I’ll just chop it up into a video. No particular game plan with the videos. Just flood the net I guess.

HGP: That's cool and it's had positive results for you too. So how did you find yourself making music?

MF: I've always loved music. And when I was young I realized I was decent at rhyming. In middle school I was always freestyling, battles and shit like that, just for fun. But I started writing and recording music at the age of 18, I'm 21 now and I no longer write. Now I just say how I feel and make it rhyme.

HGP: That's crazy how you can come up with songs on the spot. What types of music have influenced you as an artist?

MF: Honestly I’m really biased with music. I like southern hip hop mostly. I grew up on Outkast, Goodie mob & Devin the dude.

HGP: All amazing artists. I also noticed you have a storyteller side of reminiscent of Slick Rick. In the promo song you released, “Tamie”[Download Here], you speak about a girl who ends up on wrong side of things. Tell us a little bit what inspired that song?

MF: "Tamie" was actually influenced by a couple girls I know. I grew up in uptown Dade County. Where I grew up there is a lot of very well educated girls selling their soul for a drug habit, a boyfriend, and all types of fuckery. I wrote the song to let them know where that life style takes you. Basically to try to get our youth to chase their dreams instead of chasing the "dragon".

HGP: So now that you’ve done the "Tourette Syndrome" Mixtape what’s next in line?

MF: My next solo project "Down Syndrome" is gunna drop early November. I’m also working on a mixtape with my boy Young Blesson entitled "S.A.R.P.(STUDENTS AT RISK PROGRAM)". As well as another colaboration mixtape with my partner SKINNY P. entitled "Super Mario Bros". Heavy grindin right now.

HGP: Well it’s been a pleasure talking with you. Anything else you’d like to share with the readers?

MF: Shit I guess thanks for reading this shit. Keep your ears and eyes open cuz my movement is gunna hit hard. High Guyz Productions, 12th Ave Taliban, Millions clothing, & WoodStock ENT.
